District Police Chief Killed in Maoist Attack in Indian State Chhattisgarh, India

by admin on July 12, 2009

RAIPUR, 12 July 2009: Twenty-six police personnel, including a Superintendent of Police SP V K Choubey, were on Sunday killed in two separate attacks by Maoists in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh, India. The police party was going to a police camp at Madanwada.

Details briefing is still awaited. But I always think, Maoist threat in India may be much more serious and most probably, Indian central government is not taking it seriously as it should have taken. I also sincerely believe, it may not be a mere law and order situation, but a fault line in the very concept of India, after 1947.
