Today, India and Delhi has witnessed a massive protest by farmers ( more specifically sugarcane farmers ) in New Delhi. 19th November 2009. All opposition parties came together in single stage in support of this protest as well as opposing government policies.
NEW DELHI: Holding sugarcane stems and shouting slogans, hordes of farmers from Uttar Pradesh arrived in Delhi on Thursday to voice their protest against the new sugarcane pricing policy announced by the central and state governments. Source.
Few news one should remember in Indian time line :-
1. Rs. 60,000 crore waived off for loans against farmers in India.
2. Suicide by farmers continues in India.
3. Sixth pay commission recommendation implemented in India and almost all government officials got salary increment of 30% to 70%.
4. Congress becoming stronger politically in India.
5. Every commodity price increased by 50% to 100%. Inflation were all time low in India.
6. Pakistan started its war against Taliban ( read Islamic) terrorism in its own geographical area.
7. China faces its worst internal turmoil in Urumqi, Xinxiang province.
8. Dalai Lama visits Arunachal Pradesh ( disputed land as per China) and India and China having diplomatic row one way or the other.
9. Maoists started asserted by many daring strikes against Indian police and security forces.
10. Finally, USA fighting its worst economic recession since 1930s.
Is there any pattern to decipher or have I been influenced by Dan Brown books ? May be everything is arranged by some one and we are just pawns.
